Experienced Couples & Family

Counsellor

Join a collaborative, family-focused practice in Saanich, BC

Harbour Family Counselling is seeking an experienced counsellor with demonstrated competence in both couples and family counselling.

This opportunity is for a clinician who enjoys working with relationship dynamics and values both independent clinical practice and connection with colleagues. Bring your expertise to a team grounded in a family systems perspective, helping clients navigate conflict, strengthen relationships, and work through change.

Why Join Harbour Family Counselling?

An established practice with a current need for relational clinicians
With our director and another family counsellor currently at capacity, we’re expanding our team to respond to new inquiries for relational care.

Support for the practical side of practice
Focus on clinical work with a welcoming counselling office, Jane booking and charting access, a professional email address, and support with billing, payment processing, and insurance administration. Our intake coordinator helps prospective clients get started and matches new inquiries to counsellors based on their needs and each clinician’s expertise and availability. Your website profile and practice marketing also help clients find and connect with you.

Colleagues to consult and collaborate with
Our biweekly clinical consultation meetings offer space to discuss complex cases and consider different perspectives. When clients choose coordinated care, you can collaborate with colleagues supporting other members of the family, with appropriate consent.

Clinical autonomy and shared learning
Bring your clinical approach and professional judgment to your work, with opportunities to keep growing alongside colleagues. Our monthly team meetings include professional development focused on couples, family systems, and collaborative care through shared trainings, focused discussions, and opportunities to contribute your own expertise.
