Rates, Payment and Cancellation

At Harbour Family Counselling, we offer a variety of counselling services tailored to individuals, children, youth, couples, and families. Fees vary depending on the type of session and the counsellor you work with. You can find the rates for our counsellors listed on their profile pages and in our booking calendar.

  • Our counsellors offer 50-minute sessions ranging from $155 to $170. These rates apply to all children, teens, youth and adults. All sessions are provided by Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs), and fees reflect each counsellor’s training, experience, and areas of specialization.   • We take a team approach to family counselling, offering support for the whole family. Some of our counsellors focus on parent support and coaching, while others specialize in therapy for children and teens. You can learn more about our team approach here: Family Counselling

    Complimentary 20-minute consultation – We offer a free initial consultation by phone or video. If you’re looking for a full team approach to support your whole family, please book your 20-min call with Darcy Harbour to get started. If you have a more specific need, such as parent coaching or child counselling, we invite you to book directly with the counsellor who best fits your needs.

    Child and Teen Support

    Maria and Talita specialize in child and teen counselling and can work with you and Darcy using a team approach.

  • We offer couples counselling to support you through all stages of your relationship. Whether you’re preparing for marriage, working through conflict, or navigating separation or divorce, this service is designed to help. Couples counselling is currently offered by Darcy Harbour.   • Many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by RCCs. We encourage you to check directly with your provider to confirm:

    • Whether services from a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) are covered

    • The amount of coverage available per session or per year

    • Whether a doctor’s referral is required

    • If a parent’s benefits cover a student at UVic or Camosun

    We do not offer direct billing at this time. After each session, you’ll receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • Payment is required at the end of each session unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept e-transfer, credit card, cash, and cheque.

    Clients have the option to securely store a credit card in their Janeapp profile. When this feature is enabled, payments are processed automatically after each appointment.

    A receipt will be issued by email for your records.

  • We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a counselling session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee.

    If you’re unable to attend an in-person session, you’re welcome to switch to a video or phone session instead. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.

    We understand that unexpected events can happen. Exceptions may be made in cases of illness, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond your control.
